My students are middle school students from a high-poverty urban area.
Some of my students are individuals with exceptional learning needs, meaning that each student is very different from the others and they learn differently from their same-age peers.
All of my students are bright and cheerful. They all desire to learn and to be accepted by their peers and the adults around them.
My students learn in different ways, and I constantly search for ways to engage all of them and make them active partners in their learning.
This document camera will allow me to improve my whole group and small group instruction. I will be able to use this device to demonstrate skills for my students in order to make expectations clear for them.
Many of my students are visual learners, so a document camera is an essential tool to assist their learning.
I can use this document camera for whole group instruction when I co-teach with my general education colleagues. It will also be helpful for small group instruction. That way, my students can see exactly what I am doing and they will not have to guess. It is important for them to have an exact example in front of them.
