My Students

Our first grade classroom is full of singing, dancing, and hands-on learning. We giggle a lot, we love one another, and we learn from one another. We are learning to read...it opens up a whole new exciting world!

We are 19 students strong.

Each child is an individual! Every day I am blessed to learn new facts about dinosaurs, sea animals, and Pokemon. We also have a wonderful collection of rocks, pebbles, and other small treasures that have been found during recess.

We are a class that embraces our developmental stage and focuses on moving, shaking, and laughing to help us learn.

My Project

I am so excited about the high quality online learning tools available to our students. This semester we will begin working on math fact fluency and spelling. I know...it doesn't sound that exciting...BUT, it is! I can't wait to share Spelling City with my students. It is fun, interactive, and a great way to practice weekly spelling words.

We are lucky to have so many interactive, fun, and engaging online learning tools; I want to make it easy for all of my students to access these tools during our center times.

We need another iPad to allow more students to access this engaging content daily. The iPad will be used during both reading and math. The class will continue to access Prodigy during math time. I love hearing them ask if they get to play (learn) on Prodigy when they enter the room in each morning.
