My Students

My students are all special. They all come from family environments with different challenges. Teaching Kindergarten inclusion reminds me that we are all different and special in our own ways and we need to have a growth mindset in our classroom to bring out the best in all of them.

My students can develop abilities and intelligence with effort and learning to never give up.

This year I have a class of 23 students. Many of my students with and without special education classifications require alternative learning devices to reinforce skills taught to help make them the very best they can be.

My Project

The use of technology is very important in classrooms today. Our Inclusive Co-Teaching classroom has students at various levels as well as beginning readers. We also have a mixture of special and general education students who work in strategy groups, working on specific skills needed to read. We use strategy groups to attend to the needs of our students in our reading workshop. The best part about using technology to enhance reading is being able to target visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners in our groups.

By donating to our project you will be helping us reach all students in the classroom and contribute to their successful growth as readers.
