This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 4th grade students are very curious and innovative! They are most engaged with learning through a hands on approach of showing their work through drawing shapes, number lines, angles, and more. I currently do a majority of my direct teaching from the smart board that is located in the front of the classroom which only offers a limited amount of applications.

A new Ipad would allow me to open up the world of math through a larger number of apps for students to explore.

This technology would also allow me to have freedom to roam the classroom with a device for students to practice, investigate, and learn from. Becoming mobile while teaching, will increase my participation and interest in the lessons I teach!
