My Students

My goal in social studies is for my students to become life long learners and make connections to how the past affects the choices we make in the present. "Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future." JFK

I am fortunate to work at a school with support from colleagues, administrators and parents.

This scaffolds and enriches the learning that occurs in the classroom. My students are very kind, inquisitive learners that range from students with disabilities to students with advanced learning abilities. I try to teach American history like a story, so that students at all levels will become engaged and enjoy learning. I get excited when former students come back and tell me how much they enjoyed my class and that they now love learning about history.

My Project

My students have access to technology in the classroom and we do a lot of interactive activities. It would be great to have headphones for all students while they watch or create history videos and other multimedia projects. It would enrich the technology and the learning process in my classroom.

Every student having their own, individual headphones will allow for more interactive technology projects.

This will enrich the history they are learning in the classroom. Using primary sources and interactive videos, helps make history come alive for the students.
