Using My Hands in Reading and Math for Mastery

Help me give my students hands on reading and math materials to take them beyond the walls of our classroom as we utilize these materials to address the needs of special education students.

My Project

These hands on materials in reading and math will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom is a beehive of activity especially as children have hands on experience in reading, phonics, phonemic awareness, and math activities! Every student will thrive as we are able to meet their diverse learning needs and provide materials that will spurn their desire to learn and develop. These materials and curriculum have been chosen with my students in mind-I have watched them the past several months of school struggle to learn because they need materials that will math their unique needs and methods of learning. My students thrive in an environment that is print rich and includes hands on materials for manipulation as they learn.

With these new hands on materials, my students will be able to choose the materials and activities that will help them to learn more and advance academically.

These materials were selected with specific students in mind so as to foster their learning and to "meet them where they are at."
