Help me give my students LEGO creative brick boxes so I can provide them with a large variety of STEM learning opportunities, and allow them to display their learning through multiple forms of representation!

My school was recently declared a STEM academy and wants to provide every student with a Scientific Start in life. I have 14 amazing second grade students who come from a very low SES area, and they deserve scientific opportunities that will help them grow as much as they can in my classroom.
My students are wonderful, sweet, caring children who will benefit greatly from a positive class environment with a focus on STEM education.
My students have truly excelled when they are able to use problem-solving skills and hands-on learning in STEM areas, even if they struggle in literacy. I want all my students to maintain the love of science and math as they continue their education!
As I begin my teaching career, I want to provide my students with amazing STEM learning opportunities through LEGO education. The school I am privileged to begin my career in has recently become a STEM academy and has been adopted by LEGO to provide students with a new LEGO curriculum. As I continue to grow and develop professionally as an educator, I have seen the impact that scientific learning can have on low-income students. My goal with the LEGO kits is to provide multiple opportunities for students to display their learning.
Through my many development programs, I have seen ways that STEM learning can benefit students.
I plan to provide students with challenge task cards in which an object or objective is displayed, and the students use LEGO bricks to represent that item in meaningful ways. For example, a STEM task card would say "build a car," and a literacy card would say "build the main character of the story we read." By providing students with multiple brick options, they are able to represent the task card in creative ways that they will then be able to defend and explain to others. This process stimulates brain connections, creativity, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Another way I plan to use LEGO kits in my classroom is to allow students to represent their thinking in unique ways. For example, instead of having students make a observational drawing of a plant we are studying in science, they will be able to create the plant through the use of LEGOs, and then label it accordingly. This activity would integrate science, literacy, and mathematical objectives.
Overall, the use of LEGO in my classroom allows students to display their learning through creativity, problem solving, and critical thinking. Thank you for taking time to help my students!
