My Students

My students are curious and excited about art. They want to learn new skills and really get hands on. They are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take chances in order to grow.

My Project

This project will allow for the students to work with a medium that is otherwise off limits to them because of cost. They will have the opportunity to be exposed to clay and its tools to create and represent who they are as well as express themselves culturally. The project will require the students to have a plan for their sculpture as well as have the verbage to explain it to their class when they have completed it. They will incorporate the elements of art to analyze and evaluate their artwork.
