Using Apple TV to eat through the Core (Common Core)
My students need Apple TV and cable to promote success and fun in classroom as we begin to tackle the new common core, and Ohio&'s 3rd grade guarantee!
Technology presents opportunities that many of my students will never have the opportunity to experience. 50% of my school is on Free and Reduced lunch and may never have the opportunity to experience success through activities, lessons and interactive games on the iPad!
My students are the hardest working group of kids you will ever meet.
In order to tackle the new standards we have this year, we have begun teaching math in small group instruction throughout the period year! Part of our challenge is facilitating learning at scaffolded levels to students. With the use of iPad's and Apple TV I will be able to scaffold learning for EACH INDIVIDUAL student in my classroom!
My Project
I am requesting an Apple TV and an HDMI cord to connect the Apple TV to my projector. Apple TV gives you anytime access to endless education and entertainment. It allows the owner to stream their iPad, iPod Touch or iPhone to the Smartboard for educational use via YouTube, Apps, and much much more! Apple TV is an incredible resource that will allow me to walk around the room and instantly put students work on our smart board to be reviewed and be evaluated by all students in the classroom! I will also be able to reward students with out classroom behavior system Class DoJo from anywhere in the classroom! There are a million other things Apple TV will be able to do in the classroom, but most importantly inspire and create a sense of pride in each and every student!
This would provide an opportunity to students who are finical stricken.
It will impact over 40 students each and every day in the classroom and will be extremely lots of fun and engagement for students as they prepare of the future!
