My Students

I am a second-grade teacher at a PK-3 school that is home for many military families and virtual students this year.
It has been a challenging year for teachers, students, and parents. They are humble, gracious, motivated, and caring despite the challenges they encounter.
My class is made up of students who have various interests and mixed abilities. They each have personal and academic goals that they strive to achieve. They are creative, thoughtful, and extremely inquisitive. They love any learning activity that is hands-on. They enjoy exploring math and reading in many different ways, rather than only through a book. Many of my students are auditory and visual learners. They enjoy watching educational videos and listening to books online. Technology is a powerful tool in their learning and they aren’t afraid to use it. Being in the 21st century, these children need to be exposed to a variety of tools that will engage them in our world.
My Project
Imagine the creativity that my students can explore through the use of a Cameo machine. If our classroom is equipped with a Cameo, my students will be able to take ownership in creating a classroom environment conducive to their learning. They can design their own high-quality classroom tools and decor.
Students learn best in a space where they can feel safe and relaxed.
With the use of a Cameo, my students can expand their imaginations while making their own classroom come to life.
The possibilities of using a Cameo are endless! Just to name a few, students can personalize their own learning space in our classroom. They can design bulletin boards and make their own manipulatives. I am positive that the Cameo will be an amazing tool that my students will love!
