My students need 3D pens to create prototypes of circuit projects, bridge engineering and design, and any other creation their imaginations need brought to life.
My students walk into the classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. They want to succeed and understand more about the environment and the world around them. I find when I structure our time to fit around being hands-on and explorative they soar!
I teach at a high poverty school in Kansas where over half of our students receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch.
My school also has the privilege of serving a high ESL population. Despite many hardships and challenges, my students want to excel. They still have the belief they can make their lives whatever they want them to be and I want to make it my mission to help!
My Project
My students' world would be rocked with some PLA 3D printing pens from 3Doodler. I serve 135 students everyday in my science classroom. On top of that, I run a coding club and a STEM Club for females at my school. All groups would have the opportunity to benefit from this project.
Many students aren't able to afford necessities, much less luxuries that can further their educational interests.
This is what this project aims to do-making learning available and hands-on. Students who are learning English with have the chance to show what they know without the barrier of language.
