Using 3D Modeling to Create Casted Objects

My Students

My Students are Special because they love to do hands on activities. Covid has made it difficult to do project based learning due to being at home, distancing and quarantines. I would really like to make an impact on students by doing a project that is not very common. I want my students to be able to work with casting metal into molds that they have made from a 3d printer.

This would help the create something that can last them a lifetime and show them even more ways to find jobs out in the world.

They would be able to choose another path for a career if they want to pursue it.

My Project

Students will be able to get excited about careers in the 3d printing and casting fields. They will be able to learn how to create 3D prints then turn those prints into metal casted items. This will help them open up avenues of future employment.

Creating excitement in students for different ways to be employed in the field of manufacturing is the whole purpose of teaching CTE.

To give students a taste of different career opportunities in which they can pursue. This is just one more thing that they can experience and decide if it something they would like to learn more about.
