Urgent Need: NO Basic Materials = NO Basic Developmental Activities!
Help me give my students the basic art materials that will support their creativity and their fine motor skills that are often so underdeveloped when they come to our preschool class.
My class is a very active, vibrant, diverse, and eager group of preschool students. They come to school every day willing to engage with their peers, my assistant, an I in very meaningful ways. They show a desire to gain knowledge, create friendships, make connections, and to be loved. We strive every day to meet their ever-changing and dynamic needs as sincerely as possible. My day with our class is full over hugs, laughs, smiles, and positive words.
My children come from diverse backgrounds encompassing various socioeconomic classes, family living dynamics, and face a range of challenges unique to the district in which I teach.
To make sure everyone is getting all of their needs met academically, socially, and emotionally my assistant and I communicate with the children regularly to assess what we can do to make their learning experience optimal. They show us the enthusiastic desire to learn and be cared for and we provide them with knowledge and feelings of security.
My assistant and I are inspired by the children in our class on a daily basis. We have expressive students who excel creatively and we seek to provide them with an environment where they can thrive.
My Project
Basic art materials are an absolute necessity in a preschool classroom. Without them, so many opportunities for learning and growing are lost. Preschoolers need crayons, markers, paper, paint, scissors and glue to express themselves creatively and to develop basic skills.
After a productive school year, our markers no longer write, our paper is gone, our paint bottles are empty, and our glue is dried up--and so have the funds needed to replenish them.
Simply put: a preschool class cannot function without art materials! Please help us to give our preschoolers the basic experiences they need to grow and develop. Thank you!
