Urban Farm Greenhouse Technology Request

Help me give my students technology to monitor farm conditions! We have a beautiful greenhouse, but it's been difficult to grow a few of our favorite vegetables there. The Temp Stick will help us figure out what's happening.

My Students

Students that are a part of this project are leaders in the school who are taking our school's Urban Farming class. They grow produce and sell it to the lunchroom, plus learn a ton about agriculture. They learn about and use an aquaponics system and vermicompost system to promote healthy use of water and fertilizers. Many students chose to be in the class, but some are brand new to farming/gardening. In the end, all the students find that they love the hard work of growing your own food!

My Project

The Temp Stick is a simple and easy temperature and humidity monitoring device. It uses WIFI to report conditions every 60, 30, 15, 10, or 5 mins. We've been trying to figure out how to monitor this for about a year.

The Temp Stick is a really cool and easy tool to use for our farm class.

Our greenhouse is either too hot or too humid. The Temp Stick will allow us to analyze what is happening in there and FIX IT!

The batteries are extras so our farm will never be without temperature or humidity data.
