The students sign up for my PC Maintenance class to learn new technologies. These students have a passion for discovering how the digital devices they use each day function and operate under the hood. They enjoy exploring new projects different from the normal classroom setting. They learn to code, design 3-D objects, solder wires onto circuit boards, and fly video and racing drones. They learn to troubleshoot problems and become the go-to student to help with any sort of technology fix.
My Project
For the last few years, the students in my drone class have flown our DJI Phantom 3, our Parrot Mambo mini-drones, and a DJI Tello drone. While these drones are great, they are starting to get a little old and my students have been asking if we can get the new DJI Mavic 2 Pro for our class.
My students have grasped the basics with flying drones and now is the time to upgrade.
This new drone has the latest in consumer drone technology. The class wants to use the new Hasselblad camera to capture amazing 4K video to display on our website and at sporting events on the video board in our gym. They want to explore the concept of hyperlapse videos, a feature of the Mavic Pro 2, and something we have been unsuccessful with using our current fleet. They are interested to see their drone footage live using the DJI Goggles as our current goggles lack in performance. They also want to experiment using a drone capable of more advanced flight plans and flying further distances. The protective carrying case will allow us to travel to events without worrying about damaging our expensive equipment.
We have seen demonstration videos of the Mavic 2 Pro in action and we feel this is exactly what we need in our class. My students want the best and we would love for you to be able to facilitate this for them.
