Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are second graders who are always eager to learn something new every day in school. I teach at a Title I school in a large city, where 98% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. My students are very motivated and try their best to learn, despite many obstacles they face each day. A majority of the students in my school come from a Spanish-speaking homes and are attempting to read and write in English, their second language.
My Project
My students need an Echo to use for following daily routines and to extend their learning in the classroom. I am also looking to use the mini iPad to use when monitoring my students success in guided groups and one on one assessments. I also find that I would like to give my student games for rainy days and educational games to use in a reading center. While having a class or 28, the flexible seating will also keep their interest in reading to self.
My students are very excited about school and the possibilities are endless when it comes to learning.
My students will use these incentives to process the information into a whole new higher level of learning.
