Our classroom community is one of the most dynamic in the city. We are fortunate enough to have children attend our school from all corners of our city. The children at our school are honored individuals whom we hope to instill hope and optimism.
Creativity, independence, and compassion are some of the attributes that the children of our class demonstrate on a daily basis.
The beautiful thing about our class is that children come to school and find a place where they are accepted for who they. Together through are shared experiences and adventures we are preparing for what Maria Montessori's vision in that "Children are the hope and promise for all mankind."
My Project
Our Montessori classroom is moving to a new room and we are looking to add some needed furniture and supplies for our shelf. The literature organizer will be replacing our old organizing system for the children to use. They will sort their work and mail for their take-home bins. The other materials will help create new independent work for our science shelf and our sensory shelves in the classroom. Our class is starting a year-long weather curriculum and the weather kit will help with this work. The microscope slides will replace our worn-out slides. The magnet work will be a fantastic addition to our sensory shelf.
