Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are very bright and are very eager to learn new things every day. I love seeing lightbulbs going off in their heads when they get what they're learning. They are very creative, have active imagination, and very bright.
I work at a Title I school in Indiana where 100% of the students get free breakfast and lunch.
My students are in preschool and are Deaf/Hard of Hearing. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
My students love learning by doing hands on activities, such as playing in the sandbox, playing with Legos, and even building houses using magnetic blocks. They learn how to play together socially, talking to each other by giving out ideas and helping each other, and even gaining more vocabulary! They even learn about themselves when doing activities that involved with sensory needs!
By using the light table, the water tubs, and even the art easel, my students will be able to expand their learning and their sensory needs!
We definitely need a new art easel because our old one is falling apart and can't even use it right now. We would love to have a light table so the students can actually see things in the light more clear to learn. By using the water tubs, the students can learn about water and other materials that would expand their sensory needs.
