Help me give my students a HP computer to help update our 2008 computer that struggles to open Microsoft Word to a machine that runs Adobe Photoshop flawlessly.
My Journalism and Yearbook students are talented individuals who pursue an education in skills that would benefit them in the real world. Our classes cover a range of topics from interviewing to design; help them excel at applying those skills wherever the future takes them.
As a school, we hope that all students will be able to reach their goals, and we work to give them the much needed tools to achieve them.
Unfortunately, like many classrooms across the country, we have run into a roadblock of providing up to date technology to help make students competitive in the changing landscape of our economy and job opportunities. Access to updated materials and technology is critical for success in our classroom, and your support can help these students truly master skills that will create a stronger world in the future.
My Project
This HP computer will be the computer that finally will let us remove our old clunky 2008 computer from my classroom. To extend the life of our old computer, we have cleared system files, added memory, and prayed for a miracle when it starts.
With a new computer, more of my students will have access to Adobe's wonderful range of products, specifically Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
With these design tools and skills, not only will our yearbook become even better, but my students will add on to their skill set that will help them prepare to be more well-rounded journalists and graphic designers. Our school audience will appreciate it, and my students even more so.
