This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

At this Title 1 school, most of the students (72%) are second language learners. They are eager to acquire English and become fluent while still trying to maintain their cultural roots. Most of the students are also from families with economic challenges. A large percentage of families qualify for free or reduced meals due due to income levels.

Despite many challenges, I am focused on assisting these eager students to become contributing members of society, to bring their gifts and talents to the world, and to become great world leaders.

My Project

My students are currently using a very old iPad 2. However, the new apps as well as our classroom website require an updated version. The screen on our old iPad is demonstrating various colors and looks like an old TV going out.

We need an up to date iPad so we can present our special green screen oral presentations in our Seesaw account and maintain our classroom website on Weebly with drag and drop ease.

Please help us obtain an updated iPad so we can communicate our great work to our parents and the world through filmed oral presentation projects and our classroom website.
