My Students

I haven’t met my students yet, but I can’t wait for school to start in September! My 3rd graders come from a wide variety of cultural and economic backgrounds. Many students at my school are English language learners. We are a Title 1 school in a lovely community.

I am sure my students will be smart, creative, funny, and hardworking!

I am also sure that they would love some fun seating options for our classroom! Thank you for considering a donation to my class!

My Project

Reading should be fun! I want to provide my students with some fun seating options for independent reading time. We have a classroom library full of awesome books and now we need to take independent reading to the next level! Student choice is such a big factor in engagement and motivation, and I want to incorporate more choices into my students’ school day. I would use these seating options during work time in other subjects as well, and as rewards for hardworking students! These seats also could be a start toward flexible seating in my classroom. Thanks so much for your consideration!
