Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
In this digital age, My students need the "Classics." Students might be plugged in, but need practice listening to Classic stories and turning the pages of a book.
A set of wireless headphones allows students to focus on listening anywhere in the room!
My Project
The listening center is so important during our literacy block! Students jump for joy at the opportunity to listen to books on CD! However, learning comes to a screeching halt when the headphone cords become tangled after the first group of students have been at the center.
If we had wireless headphones, student learning would be seamless and foster their independence and boost their confidence.
I would be able to continue teaching a small group of students without having to come to the rescue of other students trying their best to untangle headphones and missing out on valuable literacy time!
