I have a class of 25 wonderful, loving, and highly motivated 5th grade students. This is my second year with class since we looped up together from fourth grade. This is an awesome class full of creativity, drive, and love good challenges!
My Project
Escape the Room is a popular and fun activity for children and adults! We are going to use the supplies to Escape the Box! These lock boxes have so many uses and will be cross-curricular. Each box will have several different types of locks on it that must be solved prior to opening the box.
The students will have to problem-solve and use critical thinking skills to find the code for each lock to "Escape the Box".
These activities could be review, extend, or a way to introduce topics. The students will have a time limit and compete against other groups. Adding a time limit and contest element always creates a sense of urgency and excitement.
I would like 6 sets so that all students have the chance to Escape the Box.
