My Students

My students are fantastic. I have been blessed with positive attitudes and Very respectful. It is refreshing to come to work everyday where my wonderful students actually try. Math is not a favorite subject for some, but they are listening and learning as the try the work.

Most of my students do not have funds to support their success in school.

Unfortunately, I work in a school that has over 90% free and reduced lunch and is Title I. I am a math teacher focused on developing STEM students with a focus on careers. I'd like to change that, can you help me?

My Project

Students need 21st century skills in today's world. Breakout engages the learner like no other tool I have used. I have used the Breakout kits in the past. Developing perseverance and communication skills to assist in their future jobs is important to me. It immerses the learner into a game that brings the challenges of an escape room to the classroom. By challenging their thinking, students can creatively show off their intelligence and develop skills

This will empower my students for their future!

The kit comes with pre-designed games. There games require students to develop their perseverance and reasoning skills with tough escape room type process. Escape rooms have hit the market and this allows the concept into the classroom.
