This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

What I love about my students is that they are children learning Spanish as a second language. They are a special group of students that have ventured on a difficult yet rewarding journey of learning another language. They understand the importance of culture and multilingualism in this ever changing world. They start off their schooling entering a classroom in which a teacher speaks to them in a language that is completely foreign to them. If that’s not bravery, then I don’t know what is.

My Project

As we continue to embark on the journey of remote learning, we learn more and more about our abilities as teachers and the needs our students have. My students are challenged with the task of learning a new language. They must be given an exciting and engaging experience with graphics and clear sound that can be delivered by the use of the MacBook Pro. Having this item will assist in giving them that experience with exciting and colorful visuals that are needed to learn a new language. This is necessary to engage them. The clear picture allows students to see the teacher's pronunciation in order to be able to mimic the same pronunciation. It also enhances my ability to deliver lessons that are quick to load, visually rich, and enjoyable. This device will allow me to provide an enriching learning experience for my learners.
