This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are innovative and motivated!! They are excited about learning, and I am willing to exhaust all opportunities to ensure their individual needs are met. I educate students who have mild to moderate learning disabilities. I am excited to state that my standard for their achievement is excellence. In return, my students work their behind off in my room. They are curious, they are competitive, they collaborate well, and despite all challenges, they want to make a positive impact in our community.
My Project
Have you ever wondered why some schools outperform others? Well, my students struggle to bring basic supplies to school. They are making progress academically, however they need more activities to help them practice reading, math and writing skills. Research shows that the more exposure a child has to a skill, the better chance they will have at mastering that very skill. The selected resources will enable them to enhance their ability to achieve by utilizing teacher made activities necessary for improving student outcomes. I'll teach them and challenge them to improve literacy skills. Help impact our society by giving students an opportunity to engage in creative lessons so that they can become productive citizens in our society.
