The CSS cheerleading team is composed of talented, dedicated, intelligent, and diverse students who travel from all over the New York City Metropolitan area to attend. Our school is a select STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) school in partnership with Columbia University. We are the only select STEM school that represents the true diverse margins of New York City.
Our varsity team is going into its third year and has had huge success both in school and outside.
Our spirit squad (jr. varsity team) is moving into its 2nd year. In our first and second years, we competed and won several competitions. Both teams have not only represented the school at games but also have a tradition of performing and holding community events. They were last seen marching and performing in the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!
The enthusiasm our team has not only for their school but also their community enjoys sharing their tradition of staying fierce.
My Project
We are in need of more uniforms for the newest members of our squad! Our cheerleading team has increased and gained a junior varsity squad! They have advanced enough to compete and represent our school at various venues!
Students will use the uniforms to advocate our love for cheerleading and pride for our school.
To us, pride is something that can’t be measured; it describes our passion and satisfaction for our school and the opportunities that they have given us. Additionally, we would like these uniforms to provide further unity and team cohesiveness.
With this donation, students will feel a sense of comradery and pride for their team. The uniforms will help with their performance and allow them to better emphasize their motions with flash! These uniforms will also give future cheerleaders a more economical way to enjoy the sport!
