Celebrating Black History Month

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our school is a safe haven, a place where kids can work toward a common goal. Our students need somewhere safe to be, a place off of the tough, local streets. Kids at our school learn commitment, teamwork, and pride as well as academic skills.

My Project

This year, I have the great opportunity to continue our Unified Special Olympics Bocce Team. This is a Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association-affiliated sport. This will allow the opportunity for students with special needs and their peers to compete against other schools within our area and across the state. Special Olympics has specific rules on what we have to wear.

Our students need to wear specific pants to complete the uniform.

We play many schools from high-income areas which have budgets to provide for their needs. Please help our team dress for success as we move closer to a State Title.
