My students are active learners. They love being involved in all aspects of their education. They ask questions, think through problems, and are good teammates. They care about each other and will look out for each other in class and out on the yard. My students work hard every day to meet the challenges set before them in the classroom. They are excited about art, love to learn with music, and can't wait to participate in deep discussions. My students make me want to give them the best I can, because they are thrilled to learn every day.
Rainy day recesses are inevitable every school year. Unfortunately, these past two years we have also had very bad fires in my state and we had to keep students inside while there were harmful particles in the air. On days like this, students need games to play that will keep their minds occupied.
I need to have a diverse set of games like Unstable Unicorns, Loonacy, Fluxx, Oregon Trail, Set, and Clue for students to play when the weather is bad, harmful chemicals in the air due to surrounding fires, or a lock down at the school site.
I want a variety of games to peak their interest, challenge them, and teach team work skills. Students need classic games like Monopoly, Clue, and Jenga along with SET: Five Crowns, Zeus on the Loose, and Pizza Party Supreme to show that there is more than one type of game they can enjoy and learn from.
