Help me give my students an unforgettable view of education with a document camera.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My class is composed of 50 bright students who are eager to learn. We are a Title I, inner-city school, and 90% of the students receive free or reduced-price priced lunch. Despite their desire to learn, they are often faced with obstacles when it comes to financial support. Common school supplies such as folders, crayons, pencils, etc. are sometimes hard to come by. Even working with the bare minimum, my students come to school with their best foot forward and an open mind, ready to learn.
By providing my class with a document camera, it will allow my students that are online to get a more relatable view of their textbook. Most students are without textbooks while at home so, the document camera will bring the students closer to the classroom just in a few clicks.
Tasks like underlining key information will be modeled as lessons are being taught with the assistance of a document camera.
Not only will I be able to share textbooks via this tool but, I would be equipped with the ability to show students how to solve mathematics problems in real-time.
