My students are special and enjoy sharing their interests with teachers and other staff every day. Some of my students spend time in a regular, general education classroom, some spend most of their time in a separate setting that allows them to have the quiet they need to focus on their academics and personal goals. All of my students need instruction that is tailored to their needs, so we are often learning 5 different things at once!

My Project
These books will help my students share their differences with peers and help our whole school understand our differences. Books are a great way to introduce kids to differences without putting anyone on the spot, and allow for powerful conversations.
My goal is to build a library that teachers can 'check out' books from in order to build awareness, understanding and acceptance!
So many students, not just those in the special education program can learn so much from books about kids with disabilities, and this book set will help us do that! Help make our school the best it can be!
