My Students

My students are from a rural Texas town and eager to learn every day. They come from families that are broken or going through hard times, yet they come to school with smiles on their faces. As their teacher, I try to bring the outside in and take them places they might not get to go to excite them about learning. My school is a wonderful school that just needs a little more help to further their minds.

We are in a place that a lot of students transfer to with parents jobs changing or because of family situations.

We also have a big ESL community and need help to help them in their learning. My students are my family and are so vibrant to learn and see things they may not always see at home. We try to show them there are bigger things to reach for and do as you grow up.

My Project

Having a translator that students and teachers are able to use will help all parties understand better. It will open students up to how the languages are different but also allow them to comprehend the material they need to learn. We will be able to use the translator pen to help copy over materials.

These materials will help them put together the two languages.

l am hoping that these materials will lead the change on how to help ESL students learn a new language but also help the teachers learn the students language. I don't want to change what they know, just add to it.
