My Students

The students in my classroom are hard workers who are motivated to do well. They love to be praised and have fun in learning. They thrive on choice and self-managing in the classroom. I have 2 classes of 16 amazing students each. They spend the day not only learning, but lifting each other up and encouraging each other to do and be their best. Although many come from impoverished families, they don’t let that stop them. They are always striving for excellence!!

My Project

Children thrive on choice and differentiation. Students will be able to have choice in where they sit and what type of seat they choose. This is beneficial to students who are busy or like to move a lot, which is typical of the students I teach. When students have choice, they tend to listen better because they’re not restricted to the classic chair/desk combination. It reduces sleeping in class as this type of seating causes them to sit up and control their posture. It also helps with core strength, which is something our students today are lacking. I hope you’ll fund our project and help make our classroom an inviting place where choice is number one!
