Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students belong to different backgrounds. Even more, some of my students love to read. Some of them love to speak. Some even enjoy writing like authors and being listened to.
Some of them are shy, and some love talking in front of everyone.
Some like drawing, while others enjoy soccer. Some team up easily, while others glow working with a buddy. There are even learners whose private space is their most valuable possession.
Nevertheless, each of these kids is unique and genuine in their own way. Diversity, in our classroom, is the art of combining all their individual qualities and making them work together.
My Project
"Un lugar para tod@s" is a long-wanted project for the second grade classroom.
After all the things that are happening in the world, we need to look forward.
The next school year is going to be great! But we need a clean and safe environment for our students.
A new carpet that is both safe and appealing is going to be an asset for the upcoming second graders. We will get rid of the old ones, and will have enough space for everyone to share during morning meetings, closing circles, or any other type of social activities.
