Help me give my students a new learning experience with these wonderful string instruments. The students currently do not have access to quality string instruments and I would love to give them that opportunity.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have 402 PK-5th grade students and each and every one of them are great performers. The students have adapted a love for performing and learning music from all cultures from around the world. They enjoy singing, playing, and dancing every week in the music room. These children are truly exceptional and always remember our motto: Practice Make Progress Not Perfection!
I love when performance time comes around!
The students light up on stage and their parents enjoy seeing their students perform. Performance is such a huge part of being a musician, and my students love it.
My Project
If funded the project will add a whole new level of music learning in my classroom. The students currently don’t have access to string instruments and these would be absolutely perfect for introducing how to play one. The ukuleles would excite the students and spark their curiosity about music! I love when the students take on new music challenges and work in and out of class to master the new techniques. Creating independent musicians and fostering the love of learning is an achievement that I will always strive to accomplish. I hope that we are able to use these ukuleles to fuel that curiosity, drive, and love for music.
