I am a teacher at an innovative, project based learning school on Hilton Head Island. My classroom is multi age, and I have 5th-7th grades in my room. We are an eclectic classroom and have so much love for each other. Our classroom focuses on real world lessons. I incorporate project based learning projects into every part of our education experience. The joy of learning is something we as a school strive to implement in our student's lives.
We are a small classroom with so much passion for learning.
Our class has been together for a total of two years and have formed a tight bond. We see each other as a second family, and we always look out for each other.
My Project
Our class is on a mission to learn how to play the ukulele. As a group we will learn together, including me! Our school does not have a music program yet, and I would like to bring music to our classroom. This would be a great way for our classroom to connect to music, each other, and the arts.
After we learn to play the ukulele, I would like our classroom to mentor younger students in learning the ukulele.
Each of my students would have a ukulele to learn with and love on. We are very motivated to learn the ukulele, and spread the love of music throughout our school.
