Help me give my students these ukuleles. I promise that when we get these instruments in the hands of our adorable children we will have so much fun and learn to make magical music.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Each week my 350 students walk into my class eager to discover what new musical project I have for them. Of course, my ability to provide them with exciting, meaningful musical instruction depends on the resources I have and can be limited by that which I do not have. This is where you come in.
My Project
Here at BOES we are all heart and soul. We have no budget so we rely entirely on the contribution, charity, and good will. Can you imagine the thrill that my inner city elementary aged students will have when they get their own ukulele? Please help me get these instruments and I promise that I will help our children achieve great music.
Richmond Public Schools is trying very hard to help lift children out of poverty and provide stimulating activities but with little or no budget we have no choice but to hope and pray that your generosity will give us the opportunity.
