My Students
Our students live in a small town atmosphere and have little exposure to musical experiences that are both enriching and engaging. I believe in giving each and every student a chance to shine!
"I love music" can be heard throughout our school by many of our students.
The goal is to teach students to love music, they will take it from there.
Many students in our school are unable to afford an instrument of their own. They deserve an opportunity to learn many ways to participate in the making of music.
My Project
Currently our school has only 15 Ukuleles and the smallest class that would learn to play them has 25 children. Some of our classes have 27 and 28 students! If each child has their own instrument, their learning will be interactive and engaging for each and every one!
Ukuleles for All is an important component of our students education in music.
Learning a new and lifelong skill is paramount to a child's development both intellectually and aesthetically!
Our curriculum is Quaver's Marvelous World of Music and there is a wonderful unit for learning to play the Ukulele that is very engaging and informative. Students will LOVE it! Thank you for your consideration in bringing an important educational tool to the children here.
