My Students

Our school district was rearranged this school year so that every student of a grade level is in the same school. With over one hundred and fifty students per grade level, they are still getting to know each other even though it is the end of the school year. I am always looking for ways to bring my students together to have fun together and love learning together.

My students love every opportunity to play an instrument!

Some students love to sing or sing and play an instrument, but some just love to play an instrument. I love seeing my students excel when given the opportunity to express themselves through music. Once I find which form of music they love to experience the best, it is amazing to watch them come alive in a whole new way!

My Project

I want to give my students another way to learn the basics of music. I have a choir that is wonderful, but singing isn't everyone's forte. Before school started, we were able to get funding to buy a set of 30 ukuleles!

We are so excited to have ukuleles, and now we need the tuners!

The tuners will enable the students take control of their own learning by being able to work on their own. Right now, I am the only one who tunes them. I want the students to have the ability to tune the ukulele and play even when I am not around!
