Help me give my students music performance opportunities to improve their musical skill and achievements. Performing music instills an appreciation of fine arts, creativity, as we; as teamwork and unity for all of our students. Our general music classes are made up of students in our elementary campus instilling grades K-5. Our students are growing musically stronger each day. They instill their love of music by learning to read music, singing songs, and applying that knowledge by performing music on recorders, drums, and keyboards percussion instruments. Now, I would love to teach them a new instrument and to perform their music on ukuleles.
My Project
Our general music classes will be learning about rhythm, note reading, and music of other cultures. What better way to explore these concepts than by learning to perform music on ukuleles. By bringing ukuleles into the general music classroom, we will not only be teaching our students the basics of music but also increasing their fine motor skills and coordination, learning to work as a team, teaching students about other cultures, and instilling a passion for instrumental music.
The ukuleles will give our students an opportunity to perform on instruments they might not ever have the opportunity to learn.
