My Students

I have amazing, wonderful, and enthusiastic students! They have joined my classroom to sing and be a part of the choral/music community.

Being a magnet school, we offer many different electives.

Throughout my school day I see choral, musical theatre, African drumming, and piano students.

Students at our school are given the option to take ownership over their learning by choosing many subjects that interest them. They can explore different topics to find what they are passionate about.

My Project

I am growing music options for students at our school! Currently students can take: band, chorus, orchestra, piano, guitar and African drumming.

Our students can take up to 12 electives a quarter, the goal is to allow students to find their niche and interests.

The ukuleles will allow students to explore a different type of stringed instrument that they may love!

This will also work for our students as it allows them a way to explore music that will also be safe with our COVID guidelines. Once we are able to sing more freely students will be able to play and sing, but until then students can experience musical success on a great instrument.
