Greetings, Donors! Thank you for considering a donation for our Band and Franklin Transition Program music students. These kids are a hearty group of student musicians, and leaders in their own right. You can be sure that money donated will be put to excellent use by these responsible young people; many of whom hold after school jobs of their own, and contribute wholeheartedly to fundraising for the bands year-long.
Our students have a reputation for exceeding expectations.
This is the second year that I have the privilege of serving as the band director in this great community; and my first year working with Franklin's Transition Program students. Our students come from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds. More than a third of Franklin students receive free or reduced lunch. The students have demonstrated a great capacity to thrive with less, but are so deserving of more. Thank you for viewing our projects, and we are so thankful for your interest in donating!
My Project
Please help our musicians flourish by donating to this worthy project. Ukelele is a fun and accessible instrument; enjoyable by all skill-levels, and guaranteed to get our kids rocking from day one!
With this class set of instruments, all of our students will have an immediate hands-on encounter with music.
They will learn about melody, harmony, rhythm, notation, and so much more!
We have carefully selected instruments that will maintain good intonation, and provide our students with a quality playing experience at a relatively low cost. The addition of the wall-mounted hangers will keep the instruments neatly stored, readily accessible, and ready to rock all year long.
