This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have not physically seen my students since the beginning of April. When in school, my students and I begin our day with a morning meeting where we have a daily check-in to see how everyone is doing. This is a crucial part of our day where I am able to assess social and emotional needs. Even with the school year coming to a close, it is crucial that teachers stay in touch with their students through daily meetings to continue to meet these social and emotional needs.

My Project

Please help me give my students a computer and keyboard to practice their typing skills over the summer. Students turned in their devices and are left without computers at this time. During the summer, my students should continue learning in order to prevent loss of instruction. I also encourage my students to work on their typing skills over the summer. An old fashioned key board will help the students learn the proper finger placement for typing. I have found that kids have difficulty learning proper typing strokes when using a laptop. Thanks for your support!
