Two Storage Cabinets for Flammables to Keep my Students Safe

Help me give my students two benchtop flammables storage cabinets with manual doors for the chemistry lab.

My Students

My students are very smart and motivated for science. Our school was created in 1957 as a math and science school and today, it still has strong math and science programs. My students love the material, but they also enjoy the lab activities very much. They often make comments such as: Chemistry is cool! It's like cooking!

I teach physics, mostly, but also one chemistry course.

Three other colleagueS also teach Honors Chemistry, Chemistry Gifted and AP Chem.

My Project

The chemistry department was audited recently and it was found that we did not keep our chemicals (acid and flammables in particular) safe enough.

Of course, our budget allows for the purchase of day-to-day chemicals, but the school struggles to provide us with expensive cabinets.

So it does make sense and we are committed to providing students with a safer environment, but we need help.

We need to keep our flammable chemicals handy in the lab, and safe to avoid any accident.
