My Students

My students come from a diverse background, but they all have one thing in common - they thrive when given engaging and motivating learning experiences. They love to interact with each other and have meaningful discussions about math and all the natural, real-world applications of math around us.

"We are all math people," is a mantra that students scoffed at in the beginning, but now it is actually becoming true." My students are all growing into math people as they explore the true nature of mathematics.

My Project

In my classroom students are most successful when the lesson is fun and engaging. Not only do students retain more, but the level of learning is also taken to the next-level with exciting activities. Worksheets covering all topics and skills can be turned into projects that utilize the Ozobots, which is way more exciting than the traditional pencil-paper tasks.

With the Ozobots, students can feel like they are practicing games while they are practice their math skills as well as developing basic coding concepts at the same time!

From self-checking questions to geometry applications, the possibilities for using the Ozobots to engage students are numerous.

Our classroom was affected by Hurricane Harvey.
