My Students

I have a class of amazing 5th graders. Many come to school with less than ideal circumstances at home. School is often the most stable and consistent part of their lives. Our classroom is in a high poverty rural area in the Cascade foothills.

My goal, every day, is to help all of my students fulfill their potential and overcome the challenges they face in their lives.

They are eager to learn, but often need outside of the box thinking to engage them in learning.

My Project

Students learn best with many different seating options and the ability to move and wiggle while they work. My classroom is designed around flexible seating and giving students opportunities to move. i am asking for four Active Learning Stools and two Glow stools. We have one of these stools/eats in class and my students love it. The ability to move around the room to work meets each students individual learning needs.

My students are working hard to learn reading, writing, math and science and these stools help them to focus for a longer period of time on the task in front them.

They love to learn and they also love to move around.
