I am a sixth grade English as a Second Language teacher in Brooklyn, NY. My students are immigrants from all different countries. They are mostly beginning-level English language learners. There are many videos and DVDs that I wish I could share with them, especially DVDs that were included with the new textbooks my school just purchased. However, my school does not provide sufficient functioning televisions to enjoy this technology. I am requesting a TV/DVD/VCR combo so that we can enjoy both DVDs and VHS tapes together. In the second part of this proposal, I'm requesting a TV cart so that other teachers may use this valuable resource. A TV would greatly enhance my students' study of English. There are so many wonderful videos I would like to share with them about conflict resolution, learning English, and movies based on the books we read. Please help us enjoy video resources together. Thank you!
