The dance students at my school are a diverse bunch of students with interesting, imaginative, and exciting ideas about life they wish to share.
These dance students are a creative group who deserve the high-end materials to match their highly imaginative choreography.
We are often unable to purchase all of the materials we want for performances or for daily classes, including various types of technology. Our students come from a variety of economic backgrounds and our district is unable to fund projects beyond the most basic needs for classrooms.
My Project
The dance students at our school are hard working, dedicated dancers who put on multiple shows every year. They learn and create new choreography to put on stage.
Our dance students don't receive any funding for their program and want the ability to choose from new costumes for their student choreography pieces.
The students will be able to showcase their dance skills to the fullest with costumes that highlight the work they do in class. Many students never get to experience any performance opportunities outside of school and I want them to look as good as they feel in dance class. We often reuse the same costumes performance after performance. By adding tutus to our small closet of costumes, students will have more options available to them to bring their choreography ideas to life.
