My Students

My students are curious, thoughtful and love learning! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them explore their environment! They come to school each day ready to try their best! Many students in my classroom come in saying they have difficulty organizing and finding the room to put their supplies. We are in an older building (built 1988 to be exact) and the furniture that came with it is also about that old. Our school is nestled in the heart of North Bend, WA and we are lucky to have Mount Si in our backyard. I am barely able to get enough tables and desks aren't an option as these kiddos are just too tiny for the old desks we have. Therefore, I am asking for you to help me with some covers for their chairs that has pockets. This will provide them a space they can put all their belongings in. Please help in getting these students some place where they can feel at home and have something they can call their own.

My Project

These seat sacks will make a difference because it is a place that they must take care of. I will teach them that if something happens to it, they will be responsible for cleaning it or letting me know if it needs to be fixed. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them.

Kids will learn the importance of organization as well.

These items will make a difference because it will provide a wonderful learning environment for them. The learning objective would be to learn where to put their belongings and to make sure their area is organized.
