This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are dedicated, hard working, and resilient. My students are committed to being college and career ready by the end of high school. In fact, many are working towards college credit during high school.
One of the things I enjoy the most about my students is that they are empowered to express themselves and share their ideas.
They are creative, innovative, and ready to learn.
My students have overcome obstacles to be successful. They do not let anything keep them from their education.
My Project
At our high school, one of our most important tenants is that our classes include hands-on learning. For example, during art class we draw buildings to look three-dimensional and then we create three-dimensional buildings. In this project we are requesting the materials and tools needed to carry out this project.
Students embrace the challenge of taking an idea in their mind and making it a reality.
Students often jump into a project that involves them building or constructing. They are excited getting to work and seeing where the build takes them.
Students gain so much knowledge and abilities from these projects. They learn to adapt quickly when things do not go as planned. They learn to work with others to solve complex problems, and they learn that their ideas and vision is worth turning into a reality.
